Fear said dance.

And we tapped our toes and swayed to its rhythm

Fear said fight

And we raged with self conviction

Fear said flight

And we went our separate ways

Leaving the unknown to wreak havoc in our wake

All we needed

was one moment of courage

And it came in the form of

one desperate plea

“I’m scared.”

Your voice rang out

with tears flooding your eyes.

What fear had bred in shadow

was then destroyed by blinding light
